The Jejuno
Approach
At
Jejuno, we take the view that one should not embark upon a
juice-fast with the ultimate goal of losing weight; weight loss
during a juice-fast is usually a natural consequence of the fast,
but should not be the reason one embarks upon one.
It is now widely held that the key to losing weight and maintaining
that weight loss over the longer term, is a combination of altered
eating habits and increased physical exercise. From our own experience
with juice-fasting, we believe that the process inculcates an appreciation
for the profound effects that diet can have upon the body. As a
result, one emerges from a fast not only enriched and invigorated
by the experience, but also with a changed attitude towards previous
' less healthy' eating habits.
